This package contains a set of Unity shaders for creating colorful multi-layered space backgrounds. It is suitable for any game that uses an orthographic camera and requires a seamless space background.

Here's how it works: you place a canvas on your scene and create a full-screen image as a container for the star field and nebula. Every time you move the camera, the shader moves the background, creating the illusion of movement. The star field layer and the nebula layer move at different speeds, which gives greater depth to the surrounding world.

Technical details:

  • Required Unity version: 2022.3.0f1 or higher;
  • The package works with Built-In, URP and HDRP pipelines;
  • 3 shader graphs for creating dynamic procedural backgrounds with wide range of parameters;
  • 7 seamless noise textures 2048x2048;
  • 2 seamless star field textures 4096x4096;
  • Mobile friendly.

Important:

This package uses the shader graph to create shaders, and if you are using it with the Built-In pipeline renderer, you will need to install the shader graph package in Package Manager.

Tested on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS platforms.
